The Journal of Medical Informatics and Decision Making (JMID) is an open access journal dedicated to the publication of original, peer reviewed research on the development, use, and evaluation of information and communication technologies in healthcare. The journal aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between clinicians, researchers, and health technicians to inform and improve decision-making in the field of medical informatics. JMID aims to improve healthcare quality and advance patient care.

Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted online through the journal's Online Manuscript Submission System. Submissions should include an abstract, keywords, and references. A detailed guide to author style and formatting is available upon submission. Instructions for Authors

Authors are invited to submit original, previously unpublished research contributions addressing topics such as digital health, medical data mining, healthcare analytics, artificial intelligence, medical decision support systems, clinical decision support systems, medical imaging informatics, health data science, healthcare robotics, medical informatics applications, and health-related big data. Submitted manuscripts must be in English and should adhere to the journal’s Instructions for Authors.

Editorial Board

The editorial board is composed of experts in the field of medical informatics and decision making, including researchers and practitioners from universities and healthcare organizations.

Published Articles

JMID offers authors a platform to present their research to an international audience, enabling a larger readership, wider dissemination, and increased impact of their work. In addition, JMID publishes special issues on timely and important topics in health informatics and decision making.

Article Types and Review Process

Article Processing Charges

The article processing fee helps the journal to maintain and upgrade its scholarly content. JMID is a common practice among open access journals to require authors to pay an APC to publish their works. The APC for JMID is reasonable and affordable, making easier for authors from diverse backgrounds to share their work. 
 

Please note that JMID does not charge any submission fees. Authors are required to pay the publication fee or APC only upon acceptance of their manuscript.
